Why We Don't Have a Fleet.
A fleet is built around availability. A collection is built around selection. They are not the same thing.

A fleet is built around availability. A collection is built around selection. They are not the same thing.
The rental industry optimized for one problem: having a car ready when someone needed one. Volume solved it. Dozens of similar vehicles, interchangeable by design, managed for throughput rather than character. The category became the product. The individual car became irrelevant.
DriveHaus was built on the opposite logic.
The Problem with Anonymous
The fleet model is designed to produce a reliable, repeatable experience. That reliability has value. But memorability is not the objective — and it shows.
That is a solved problem. It is not an interesting one.
The alternative is not simply having fewer cars. It is having cars that were chosen — each one evaluated against a specific question before it joins the collection.
Is it worthy of the BAUSPRUNG name?
If the answer is not clearly yes, it does not move forward. Not because the bar is set artificially high, but because the car is part of the experience. An interchangeable car produces an interchangeable experience. A chosen car produces something else.
What Selection Actually Means
Every vehicle in the DriveHaus collection was selected for character — the quality of the drive, the distinctiveness of the design, the way it makes an ordinary errand feel less ordinary.
It was not selected because it was available. Not because it fit a budget category. Not because it rounded out a size tier.
It was selected because it was exactly right.
That distinction changes everything that follows. How the car is prepared. How it is presented. The confidence with which it can be reserved — not as a category, but as a specific machine with a specific character that the guest chose on purpose.
What This Means for the Collection
DriveHaus will grow. The collection will expand as machines earn their place in it.
Not by filling gaps. There is no gap to fill. There is only the next vehicle that passes the standard — chosen with the same intention as the first, prepared to the same level, presented the same way.
We are not building the largest fleet.
We are building the right one.
